Introduction
I do not brew fancy beer nor do I do it from scratch. I leave that to the dedicated home brewers. I just grab a Coopers or Cascade 1.7kg can from the supermarket to make my beer. Have a go and do your own brew. The taste is pretty good and it is much cheaper than to get it from the Liquorshop. Mine works out to be around AUD 0.66 per Longneck.
Light, standard or strong beer?
I prefer a light beer which means low alcohol content of about 2.2-3.2% ABV. This is achieved by adding only 500 gram sugar to the concentrate when brewing. 1 kg makes a standard strength brew. I do not recommend to use more than a kilogram.
In the following articles I will describe how I brew my beer. I have been doing it for almost 12 years and refined my work-flow to be with minimum effort.
Sterilisation is important but do not be paranoid about it. In all the years I never had a brew gone bad. I killed a couple by overheating it until I built my own temperature control.

Recently I have discovered a fantastic online shop that really looks after it's customers. Great service and response to questions.
